In a local pub in late 1940s Britain - a cold, shabby, rationed country - six ordinary people complain about life in general. Then a Stranger enters with an unusal request.
The Rose and Crown is a one-act play by J.B. Priestley that combines social commentary with keen insights into people's lives and serves it up with a dash of the supernatural.
Cast of 7:
3 Male (Aged 25-50)
3 Female (Aged 25-70)
The Stranger can be either sex (Aged under 35)
Accents will be regional/working-class except the Stranger, who's accent should be neutral.
