And welcome to our website!

We've been putting on theatre productions in Edinburgh for 60 years. We tend to do four a year. A mix of contemporary to classic.

Recent years have seen us do shows by people like Mark Ravenhill, Abi Morgan, Patrick Marber, Martin McDonagh and Caryl Churchill. But we've also revisited classics from Brecht, Sophocles and of course, William Shakespeare.

We're always on the lookout for new people to get involved and auditions are open to everyone. So, whether you're interested in appearing on stage or keeping busy behind the scenes, do get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.

Massive congratulations across the board to our amazing two shows at the SCDA Edinburgh One Act festival. It was an exciting couple of nights and we were well rewarded. Angela Harkness-Robertson’s production of A Number took top honours for the festival and will represent Edinburgh in the district round in Killin. A Number also won trophy’s for best production (directing) and best design (set, lights and sound). Not content with one winning entry, Hannah Bradley’s excellent Ram in the Thicket took third place in the Edinburgh round. Unfortunately, only one team per group can advance or RamIT would be heading to Killin as well. Kudos all around!

We are well underway with rehearsals for our Spring production of Macbeth. Watch this space for ticketing information in the near future. Additionally, keep an eye on our social medial platforms for updates and rehearsal photos. Macbeth will be performed at the Roxy from Wednesday 23th May to Saturday 26th May.

If you can’t make it to Killin to see the next outing of our award winning A Number, you’ll have another chance in Dalbettie on Saturday, May 26th. We’ve been invited by Birchvale Theatre to take part in the Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival. We’re delighted to be heading back to Dalbettie with another cracking production.

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is just over the horizon. As previously announced we have two exciting productions for the Fringe. Our early production will be a new piece of writing titled ‘skirt’ written and directed by Claire Wood. Our later night production sees us mounting Shakespeare’s classic comedy Much Ado About Nothing. There will be a public reading of our Much Ado About Nothing edited script on Wednesday, March 28th beginning at 7:30pm at 18 Buccleuch Place. We will be auditioning for our both of our productions, simultaneously, on Wednesday, April 18th and again on Sunday, April 22nd. As ever, you only need to attend one audition session and can audition for both shows in a single session. Further audition details, including audition sides, will be available after the Much Ado read through on the 28th.

We hope you are all as excited as we are about all of our upcoming offerings. Please, get in touch and get involved!
